On t-stat their are letters that represent what wire to connect.

R for red, B for blue, Y for yellow, W for white, G for green.How do i wire electronic thermostat for gas furnace to central air with five wires.?Usually a gas or electric furnace it doesnt really mater on the thermostat unless it say otherwise. In a normal hook up red is your 24 volts which goes ot rh and rc normaly, white goes to your heating contactor, yellow to your cooling contactor, green is the fan and the gray is the common. but check with the manfg because they could be different.How do i wire electronic thermostat for gas furnace to central air with five wires.?Presumably the thermostat has both heating and cooling control.
