How do connect home heater to thermostat?

I bought a programmable thermostat for my old house, which is connected to the heater only. The thermostat turns on and off the valve to the gas but I still have to manually plug in the fan to the outlet to use the heater and unplug it when it is not in use. Is there a way I can wire the fan or the outlet so the thermostat controls everything? How do connect home heater to thermostat?Wire the fan to a thermal limit switch, then mount the limit in the plenum above the furnace,

The fan will turn on when the air gets hot and it will turn off when the air cools. How do connect home heater to thermostat?yes you can do it with a relay switch but im wondering how safe is your system do you have protection if valve opens and it doesn't lite? what if fan fails will everything over heat? not sure what you have? sounds like homemade set upHow do connect home heater to thermostat?pick up a limit switch at any farm store that sells wood stoves follow the directions from thereHow do connect home heater to thermostat?Sounds like you need a thermostat that has a fan control as well.
