How do i replace my thermostat in a Rover 200?

I have bought a new thermostat for Rover 200 1996 1.4 8v heating in cabin stopped blowing warm air through and temp guage on dash does not work so was advised to change thromostat. Unsure where it goes as have disconnected metal piping in the coolant sytem where there is a sensor, big pipe from rad and a small one but cant see it fitting in there!!

ThanksHow do i replace my thermostat in a Rover 200?A thermostat is nearly always on the top of the engine block and generally will have no hoses attatched to it. It will be held in place with between 2 to 4 bolts. Locate it, undo the bolts and replace the thermostat with a new gasket.
