How do you set the jumpers on a 6030 ritetemp thermostat?

I have no idea what a jumper is and how to set one. I have four wires (Y,W,G,RH). There is also a red wire that was connected to the RH and RC on the old thermostat so i connected it just like that on the 6030. The instructions don't explain much about the wires. The only thing that doesn't work is the heat. My house is all electrical. Please HelpHow do you set the jumpers on a 6030 ritetemp thermostat?The red wire was the jumper.
