im getting a under tank heater and need to know where to get a Thermostat, Rhestat, or Dimmer Switch? do you just plug them in to the uth of how does this work?Where can i find a rheostat /thermostat for my ball python cage?You can find a Rheostat at any specialty pet store, like Petsmart. All you have to do is plug the UTH to the Rheostat and then plug the Rheostat into the wall. Easy. The Rheostat has a turning knob that will allow you to adjust the power going to the UTH, which will in turn adjust the temp the UTH produces. Dimmer switches work the same way, but I am not familiar with how to connect them to the UTH.
A thermostat will take it one step further. Once you have everything connected, you can set the thermostat to the desired temp and the unit will control the power going to the UTH, creating the desired effect. You don't have to fiddle with any knobs to get the temp right.
